A number of unique enterprises come together to provide the optimal environment for fostering innovation at UF:
- The Innovation Academy is one of the nation’s most forward-looking undergraduate programs – at one of its most dynamic research universities. The Innovation Academy will give students a small-college experience focused on innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship on a unique spring-summer calendar, with the members of the first class enrolling in spring 2013. All this at a university with a nationally recognized faculty, world-class facilities and vibrant campus.
- The University of Florida and the Innovation Academy will work in partnership with UF’s new Innovation Hub, an entrepreneurially-focused commercialization center focused on nurturing early-stage startup companies.
- Innovation Square serves as a live/work/play community near the university and close to downtown Gainesville that nurtures the development of new ideas and brings technology and business together to take innovative products and services to market.
- The Entrepreneur’s Residence Hall will be constructed to provide students a place to reside and collaborate with other entrepreneurially-minded students, fostering the active exchange of new and exciting ideas.
